We can never know what will happen in the future, as much as we'd like to. Fortune telling is the stuff of amusement park side shows. The future is actually something that is just in our minds. Our egos tend to create a future that is based on what we have seen in the past. We think that what's already happened will probably happen again in the future. But we don't really know that.

Our task is not to foresee (which is impossible) but to enable the future. If I want a particular thing to happen in the future, I can take actions today that make that thing more likely. It is the little actions that we do every day that determine our future. Our habits determine our destiny. Change your habits and you will change your future. All your power lies in making wise choices about what your habits will be, and how you will deal with what's going on right now.
