Your Environment

"Be careful the environment you choose for it will shape you; be careful the friends you choose for you will become like them."
W. Clement Stone

Think about your environment for a moment. Is it attractive or unattractive? How does it make you feel? Do you feel like you had a choice in it? You always have a choice, but if you don't choose something, life will choose for you, and it may not be something you like. If you live in an environment that is cheap and unappealing, you are eventually going to feel cheap and unappealing too. And, because you become what you think about, you will become a cheap and unappealing person. You don't want that!

What are your friends like? We all know the classic story of the teenager who was such a good kid untill he started hanging out with the wrong people. Well, that happens to adults too. Your friends are a big influence upon you. They say your income will be the average of that of your five closest friends. Maybe this is one reason why you should seek out rich friends. Your friends introduce you to new ideas and beleifs, and motivate you to explore them. That can be a good thing or a bad thing, depending on what those ideas and beleifs are.

Make sure you choose to stay in an environment that is conducive to your personal growth, so that it will shape you to be a better person. Make sure you find friends whose ideas and beleifs are the ones that will make you grow, so that you become a growing person.
