Learning

Learning is not attained by chance, it must be sought for with ardor and attended to with diligence
Abigail Adams

You have to go and seek out information. This is especially true when you are talking to other people. People tend not to volunteer information unless you specificially ask about the topic. That can be a problem when you don't know enough to know what topic you need to learn about. But that is just one reason why seeking out knowledge is so important.

Everyone has a story to tell. Even though a person may seem "beneath you", he might very well have knowledge you could really benefit from. Attend to learning with diligence. Useful knowledge comes from the most surprising places. Be open to it everywhere. Seek out this information with ardor. You never know who it is that has the knowledge that is going to be really important to you.

Seek out learning from a wide variety of sources. You never know what you will need to know in the future. I believe that the more things you know about, the better able you will be to understand any one of them. You have to work at learning. But it is definately worth it.
