Discover

"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover."
Mark Twain

Are you disappointed at the results you have gotten in life. Are there things you tried that just didn't turn out right. We all have experienced times when we wanted to get something but our efforts just didn't bring us the results we hoped for. We may have wondered "What's the use in trying? It just doesn't work for me". At the time it seems like such a big deal. It ruins your whole day. But twenty years from now, it won't seem so bad. There is something that will seem a lot worse.

What will seem a lot worse is all the things you never even tried to do. Remember all those things that just seemed too difficult for you. There seemed to be too many obstacles. Other things seemed to be more urgent. You were afraid to get out of your comfort zone so you procrastinated too long and missed your window of opportunity. Those are the things you will really regret.

The moral of the story here is to realize that it is much better than to have tried and failed than to have never tryed at all. There is always some step you can take towards your goal; no matter how tiny it is at least you are moving forward. Never be afraid to sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover."
