Obstacles

"History has demonstrated that the most notable winners usually encountered heartbreaking obstacles before they triumphed. They won because they refused to become discouraged by their defeats."
B.C. Forbes

Is there something that is preventing you from acheiving your dreams? Perhaps you can't get started because you don't have any money. Or because you haven't had the right education. Or because you were born on the wrong side of town. Or because your family doesn't approve of what you want to do. All of these obstacles have been encountered and successfully overcome by the people who have done really great things.

Your dream must be bigger than your obstacles, since your attention will naturally be focused on what seems most important to you in the moment. If your problems seem too great and your goal not that important, you will be more focused on your problems and they really will become obstacles. On the other hand if your goal is much more significant to you than your obstacles are, then, as they say, "If you are looking at the sunlight, you don't notice the shadows.

Make your goal more important than any obstacles you have. There is a way to get around almost any obstacle, and if you are motivated enough, if you are focused on the solution rather than the problem, you will find it.
